Things Connected Innovation Programme – Graduation

At the end of July 2017 the first cohort of startups and SMEs graduated from the Things Connected innovation programme.

Here’s a short video of the event:

In all 14 of the 23 businesses completed the programme, and made it into a handy booklet that was given to the audience of investors, city councils, and other interested organisations.

The event was very well attended with investors, Local Authorities, larger enterprises and Catapult partner organisations all eager to see the products on show and meet the businesses. Peter Karney from the Digital Catapult welcomed the audience and invited representatives from each business onto the stage.

Each of the businesses had the opportunity to present their product to the audience and invite them over to their stands to have a closer look and answer any questions. One of the presentations was particularly memorable and entertaining – Peter from OTA Analytics introduced his Australian alter-ego “Pedro” to discuss the merits of rainwater harvesting!

Each of the businesses was presented with a certificate from the Things Connected programme…

…and then it was back (with canapes and drinks) to the stalls to meet the businesses and learn more about the products and services on offer.

A wide range of products were on show

Plenty of bright ideas from Irene at See.Sense

…and lots of networking opportunities

Happy graduates from the Things Connected programme
